Sara was the perfect caterer for our wedding. We were after someone who could provide a delicious Italian meal, all while keeping our day very simple and casual.

Sara completely got what we wanted and suggested a family-sharing style option, which fit perfectly with the relaxed vibe we were going for.

Sara was really flexible and helped us deliver food to our guests throughout the day, starting with an antipasti buffet, before moving into a 2 course family sharing meal, followed up by Pizza and Gelato in the evening.

Sara also sorted out all our staff, so everything from food to drinks and clean up was taken care of. The staff she hired were exceptional and made the day an absolute breeze.

And then of course, we come to the food. We knew it would be amazing from the initial tasting, but the food on the day was exceptional. Even 2 weeks after the wedding our guests are still talking about the food and we've had loads of requests for Sara's name - so that says everything it needs to.

In short, if you're looking for a wedding caterer who can give you a delicious and hassle free wedding meal, then we can't recommend Sara enough”

“From the moment we started planning our wedding we set our sights on a relaxed informal and personal day. We knew we didn’t want just any food. It had to be something that we would happily serve to our friends and family in our own home, And it had to feel like it had soul. So we searched and we searched and finally came across Squisito.

What a find. We could tell that Squisito cared about what they did. It wasn’t just work for them, it was genuine passion.

Communication has been first class and infallible. Sara was our point of contact. We met with her a few times prior to the wedding. Firstly at her home there she cooked us a gorgeous meal. Sara was able to offer her unassuming support and ideas. She has seen so many weddings, it was lovely to hear about what works and what doesn’t. We happily took on board her suggestions and they really helped with the flow of the day.

The food on the wedding day was amazing and lived up to every expectation. It was relaxed dining. We looked around and people were sharing food, laughter and conversation. It was everything that we wanted.

We’ve had so many compliments about the food … all the way down to the choice of olive oil. I could describe each piece of food I taste because the flavours stood out so much.

“We must apologise for not being in touch sooner; a large part of the to-do list is getting thank you notes and e-mails out and whilst we've got through quite a few now, it's to those people who played such an important role in the day that we've taken /are taking the longest, because it's so hard to properly describe how important and valuable your input was for our big day, both on the day itself and in the lead up.

So, without further delay, sincerely thank you so so much for everything you did, from the first time we e-mailed you to hugging you goodbye on the night.

From the off you were different to almost every other supplier; no pressure to secure the date or agree menus or numbers of attendees, you were the first person to suggest we slow down! This was what we needed to hear for our own blood pressure if nothing else, as everyone else seemed horrified that we didn't have the whole thing planned with 12 months to go! The first tasting with you was in fact our only meeting with a caterer - once we'd got to know you, met the cat and tasted your fantastic food there was simply no reason to go elsewhere. The follow-up meat and cheese tasting was a fantastic introduction to products and serving suggestions (pink peppercorns?! Hello!) we weren't familiar with and were frankly mind blowingly delicious, and my parents are now utterly hooked on Taleggio and honey.

The last thing we wanted was a copy and paste wedding and you were intrinsic to achieving that. Working with us to develop the
menu, being so patient as we tweaked the dishes and the number of courses and the gelato flavours and the number of vegetarians (sorry about that - we're both hoping Charlotte reverts to eating meat in the immediate future, Kieran feels robbed) you were endlessly supportive and helpful with great ideas.

Thank you so much for securing such fantastic staff for the day, we've had loads of comments about how great they were. We have a feeling you were doing a fair bit of whipping into action behind the scenes. We can only assume this because the day felt seamless despite the hail and overrunning - so somebody was
running the show, and it wasn't us!

So, the food! Completely delicious and plenty of it, in short. In detail, our biggest fear when we started arranging the wedding was addressing the dreaded wedding food issue. We're both foodies and the thought of serving up the classic three courses (each comprising something stacked or wrapped in something) was deeply unappealing. We've all been there and felt the hunger pangs. Thank the Lord we found you, as you not only gave us an alternative, but an absolutely stonking one. One month on and we are still receiving compliments, including the coveted "best wedding food ever!". The variation, the presentation, the generosity and most importantly the taste was completely unparalleled. Whilst neither of us managed any gelato, cheese or evening food on the night (not out of choice, it just became part of the blur and we are completely gutted about this!) the same compliments keep rolling in. We did manage some cheese the next day, but as we went on our honeymoon so swiftly afterwards some other lucky individuals got to enjoy it for days to come. We'll just have to pop in to the deli some time (and we certainly will do!)

The best thing about working with you was that we felt we had struck up a friendship with someone we could trust completely with arguably the most important part of our big day. Your integrity, dedication to proper ingredients which have been properly sourced and properly prepared, ridiculous skills in the kitchen and personal approach make you truly stand out in your field. We really don't think we'd have had the same experience (or wedding, to be honest) with an anonymous catering / events company - we genuinely feel so, so lucky to have found you. You didn't need to buy us the beautiful Puglia book for example, but it says (and means) so so much to us that you did. You made us, and our wedding, feel special. Needless to say you are top of our list of recommendations for anyone throwing a party / wedding / day of glorious eating.

We wish you all the best and continued success, but this isn't goodbye. Please come to St Albans food market for a start! We'll be back to the shop and will stay in touch / stalk the cheese and ham on Instagram.

Oh - and Jill and Andrew were fab! We had an amazing week at Trullo Caterina, and they kept plying us with delicious homemade produce. So thank you for this honeymoon recommendation too - the place was heaven.

Sara’s food is delicious! We picked Squisito as our wedding caterer as we wanted a relaxed style and authentic Italian food for our wedding breakfast and Sara delivered this! We knew from our tasting that Sara’s food was right for us. She served us up a huge selection of delicious food that it was so hard to choose what options to have.

The Italian sharing style was perfect for our day. We wanted to offer large antipasti selections for our guests as a starter. Sara took on board our ideas and specific requests - we wanted a fish crostini as a canapé for example and the mackerel pate we requested was delicious. Sara tailored the antipasti platter on our request to include a delicious seafood salad and an amazing Pappa Pomodoro soup shot.

By choosing Squisito you also get to benefit from their deli - we had an unparalleled selection of Italian meats on the antipasti platters and we offered an Italian cheese course too, which were very popular with our guests as all the meats and cheeses were amazing.

We chose the Porchetta, Hake and Peppers as our mains which were all equally tasty. Everyone commented on how much delicious food there was - the sharing platters of Porchetta were huge and the meat was so tender and authentically flavoured.

We also took advantage fo the fact that Sara makes amazing gelato and sorbets in some interesting flavours. So we picked our favourites and chose the Margarita sorbet and Raspberry Ripple gelato to serve in the evening. Sara also kindly incorporated our wedding logo onto the labels of the individual tubs which were just perfect.
